California Air Resources Board CARB services compliance adheres to diesel trucks that are 14,001 lbs and up.
California especially deals with medium-duty motor trucks for 14,000 to 26,000 lb. It is compliance to deal with federal guidelines that reduce the vehicle’s emissions. In 2008, California decided there would be a deadline for compliance for businesses running vehicles. It especially deals with the engine model year and has nothing to do with the truck manufacturing date.
CARB number is assigned by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to help identify Trucks, Buses, and reefer units. If you stay in California, your Truck Buses and reefer trailers must have this ARB. If you are not in California, you must require ARB numbers on your motor vehicles.
